Oh my Same-Same<\/em> … I knew it was an excellent idea for us to head out to Berlin <\/em>!! I’d semi-forgotten about the Buddy Bears<\/em> !! ;-D I find them a bit reminiscent of the Grateful Dead<\/em> bears … I hope we can still find a few scattered throughout the city !! ;-D<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morning bus \/ train from Grancy<\/em> to Z\u00fcrich<\/em> to hang out a bit w\/ Cass<\/em> … then grab overnite 18:45 Flixbus<\/em> to Berlin (VWU: 23.05 – booked !! ;-D<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thurs 18th (B-Day 1)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Arrive Berlin S\u00fcdkreuz Bf 8:45<\/em> (am). We’ll fire up a metro pass, stash stuff @ hotel or locker … then go out and play !! Ideas include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

located at Friedrichstrasse 43 – 45<\/em> … hopefully not far from Friedrichstrasse metro<\/em> stop ?! ;-D<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fri 19th (B-Day 2)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Half-day walking tour<\/a> starting at 10:00<\/em>. I’ve embedded the preceding linky so you can see what I have in mind. There are also loads of free tours, but b\/c I always tip the guide anyway, I don’t mind paying upfront. And b\/c it’ll be high-season, if this tour includes headphones<\/em> so that we can actually hear<\/em> the guide, that might be handy. We can to diskussing … I still haven’t booked but it seems that the gig is still on …<\/p>\n\n\n

We did one years ago w\/ a fun, funny, snarky guide who I swear <\/em>had just walked out of Dwinelle<\/em> and kept saying straight into his guide mike<\/em>: “I’m on a boat, man !!”<\/a> … LOL !! ;-D<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonus Berlin Hobo Day<\/em> ’til evening Flixbus<\/em> departures !! Just so happens that Berlin will be kicking off its Lesbian and Gay City Festival<\/a> on that very day … in \/ around Nollendorfplatz<\/em> … conveniently located between Lulu Hotel <\/em>and Flixbus<\/em> departure point (S\u00fcdkreuz<\/em>) … I think that perhaps takes care of outrageously<\/em> excellent ideas<\/a> for the day … damn !! ;-D<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My dear Lausanne-based pal Sylvia<\/em> (hopefully you’ll meet her pre-Berlin ;-D) recently visited Berlin<\/em> w\/ her sister. They loved their hotel … Lulu Guldsmeden<\/a> … Syl says that she’s verrrrry happy to recommend it. So !! It’s just a starter idea … if we do as above we’ll need 2 nites … arrival Thurs 18th<\/em> \/ checkout Sat 20th <\/em>… (VWU: 23.05 – booked !! ;-D<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grrrrrrrlll<\/em> (this is how Bears<\/em> communicate ;-D) … you haven’t even arrived and I’m all flipped out about saying good-bye !! This is not right !!
